Use case

Ready for collection—then called, collected, or uncollected

Click-and-collect, results windows, and café bars need a Ready list, not a standing walk-in line. Staff call when the customer is at the window.

Pickup is a different job from a consult queue. The work starts when an order, result, or parcel is ready—not when someone joins a line at 9am. Shouting names over a lunch rush, or mixing collect with returns in one informal pile, is how windows stall.

Esperaly’s pickup starting list uses Ready → Called → Collected, with Uncollected as follow-up. Staff still Call Next from a Counter. The customer still keeps a live Ticket on their phone. End-of-day rollover can move stale ready tickets to Uncollected.

Use it for retail collect, pathology results, parts counters, and café collection. It is not a POS, warehouse WMS, or delivery tracking product.

How it works

  • Tickets start at Ready

When the order or result is available, it sits in Ready—the eligible list for Call Next—instead of a walk-in Waiting status.

  • Call them to the window

Staff call the Ticket. The phone and optional display update. The customer steps up; you mark Collected.

  • Follow up uncollected

If nobody arrives, Uncollected keeps the Ticket visible for a callback or shelf check. Nightly rollover can move leftovers there automatically.

Problems this solves

  • Collect, returns, and enquiries sharing one shouted name list
  • Customers hovering at the window asking if it is ready yet
  • Ready orders going cold because nobody called the next person
  • End of day with no record of what was left on the shelf

Who it’s for

  • Retail click-and-collect and guest services
  • Café and food-hall collection bars
  • Clinic results or pharmacy pickup windows
  • Automotive parts and vehicle-ready counters

What changes day to day

  • The list matches the job

Ready is the queue. Collected is the outcome. Uncollected is follow-up—not a missed consult.

  • The window stays clearer

People wait nearby with a phone Ticket and only approach when called.

  • Same Counter training

Call, complete (collected), and follow-up still sit on the desk staff already know.
